Thanks to Richard for pointing this out.

“Walk the Line” director-actor duo James Mangold and Reese Witherspoon are set to reunite on an adaptation of memoir “The Little Words”, and Amanda Seyfried is in talks to star opposite Witherspoon, according to THR.

Described as a Dickens-esque tale, Ashley Rhodes-Courter’s story involves being abandoned by a teenage mother and entering the Florida foster system by the time she was three. She was shuttled between 14 foster homes, witnessing corruption and abuse along the way, but remained steely in her pursuance of an education. The film, adapted by Lewis Colick and Michael Petroni, will center on the relationship between the young girl and an unpaid volunteer (Witherspoon) she meets in her early teen years, who must track down the girl’s birth mother (Seyfried) in order to give up her parental rights so she could be legally and permanently adopted. A September start date in Florida is eyed.

Last seen as Cosette in Tom Hooper’s Oscar-winning adaptation of musical “Les Miserables”, Seyfried also earned acclaim at Sundance this year, where “Lovelace” premiered to mostly rave reviews. She’s currently filming Seth MacFarlane’s Western comedy “A Million Ways to Die in the West” opposite Charlize Theron and could join Adam Driver in Noah Baumbach’s “While We’re Young.”

This has already been mentioned in the comments but for anyone that may have missed it :)

Naomi Watts is in negotiations to star alongside Ben Stiller and Adam Driver (Girls) in the dramatic comedy While We’re Young.

The story centers on a documentary filmmaker (Ben Stiller) and his wife (Naomi Watts) who begin to change their uptight ways when they meet and befriend a younger couple. Adam Driver is playing one half of the younger couple, with Amanda Seyfried emerging as a potential candidate for the other main role.

Noah Baumbach is directing from his own screenplay, with Scott Rudin producing. The project has been gestating for several years now, with James Franco and Cate Blanchett previously set to star back in 2011, before they both dropped out. Production is now scheduled to begin later this fall in New York City.

Naomi Watts, who received an Oscar nomination for her performance in last year’s drama The Impossible, will begin production shortly on the biopic Diana for director Oliver Hirschbiegel.

While We’re Young is in development and stars Ben Stiller, Adam Driver, Naomi Watts. The film is directed by Noah Baumbach.

The actress has just left Gallup, N.M., in her rearview mirror as she heads to Santa Fe to film her newest project, a comedy with Seth MacFarlane dubbed “A Million Ways to Die in the West,” which MacFarlane also wrote and is directing. Seyfried’s best friend Alex and her beloved Australian shepherd Finn (the reason they’re driving; the dog can’t fly) are along for the ride as the actress conducts a phone interview with WWD. “It’s eight hours in a car,” she said with a laugh. “It seems like a perfect time to do an interview. To do every interview I’ll ever have.”

The roughly 900-mile journey from Los Angeles doesn’t faze her, although the abundance of firearms along the way might. “They sell guns everywhere in this part of the country,” she said. “The guy at the gas station was raving about his Magnum, whatever that is.”

But, as Seyfried says, “I like to be in the driver’s seat.”

And that she is. Seyfried has just signed on as the face of Very Irresistible Givenchy, replacing Liv Tyler in the role. She is also the face of Clé de Peau Beauté. Seyfried is a longtime fan of the fashion house, wearing a purple spaghetti-strapped dress to the 2012 Tony Awards and attending the house’s fall ready-to-wear show in March. Her response when they offered her the deal? “F–k yeah,” she said bluntly. “It’s an honest collaboration. I’m proud to be a part of [the brands I’m involved with] because what they do is really cool, especially Givenchy — they’re so artistic. And I feel like I have a foot in the fashion industry now.”

She has just finished shooting the ad campaign — which includes both print and TV. TV was shot by Cédric Klapisch, and print by Glen Luchford; the campaign was styled by Riccardo Tisci. Print will begin running in October fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazines in the U.S.; the TV will bow at launch. Thierry Maman, global president of Parfums Givenchy, noted that the actress’ “style and elegance” an d high profile made her a natural pick for the youthful Very Irresistible Givenchy. Nicholas Munafo, U.S. president for LVMH Fragrance Brands, concurs. “Amanda is a chic, sexy woman who is a perfect fit for Givenchy.”

But don’t look for an Amanda Seyfried celebrity fragrance anytime soon. “They’re hard work, and the more you do, they take away from your work as an actor. I’m doing these two campaigns because I care about them and the people involved. They’re great things to be attached to.”
